The Capsule Box with Ray Key (woodturning DVD preview)

Here’s a quick preview of Ray Key’s woodturning video “The Capsule Box”. Available from Craft Supplies USA. One of Ray Key’s most popular boxes is the capsule box, shown in the video. The step-by-step sequence of turning a capsule box shows how to turn a box with matching grain and spigot type lid. Sanding, finishing, re-chucking and finishing the base is also shown. The remaining stock is used to show how to make a “coolie” box. This is a short, squatty box, with the lid shape similar to a hat. 45 minutes.
